This task works better as an enrichment or challenge activity than a teaching tool/strategy. It would be better to teach subtraction strategies before having students complete this activity.

Students complete a table using both addition and subtraction. Students use the formulas to complete the table and a number cannot be used twice.

Make sure students provide explanations when asked! The task is provided below.
