An Introduction to 2nd Grade
As students continue their education experience in second grade, the emphasis in mathematics centers around four major concepts: Number & Operations, Algebraic Reasoning & Algebra, Geometry & Measurement, and Data & Probability. It is essential that these topics be addressed in contexts which connect the world around them while promoting problem solving, reasoning, fluency, communication, and a deep but flexible understanding of math concepts.
